2012 WMWW Schedule
Rides depart PROMPTLY at the times listed. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Cyclists, new to group riding, should begin on the night of an Instructional Ride or Talk.
All WMWW are encouraged to declare themselves Ride Leader for their Group on any given ride.There are no assigned ride leaders.
Ride Leader Role: 1) Organize who is riding in your group for that night, 2) Lead the warm up pace for the first two miles, 3) Initiate re-groups, 4) Initiate the cool down pace 5) Do a head count at end of ride to account for riders in your group
March 29th: 5:00pm Rhino Bikes, Plymouth – “Traditional* Double Bridge Ride”
Split up in groups depending on desired pace
All groups: Route 3 North to Blair Bridge back Rt. 175. (9 mi) Rt. 25 to Smith Bridge back Fairgrounds (17 mi) if desired by group
* Traditional means just one bridge because we rarely have enough daylight for two
Instructional Talk starts at 4:30pm for new riders.

April 5th: 5:15pm Meredith Village Savings Bank, Ashland – New Hampton loop
1st & 2nd Groups: Rte 132, 104, River Rd, Rt. 3. (20 mi)
2nd and 3rd Group: Rt. 132 to New Hampton Post Office (Rt 104) and back (12 mi)
Instructional Ride for New Riders – The Ride will follow the 3rd Group Ride and will last the entire ride.
April 12th: 5:30pm Northway Bank, Campton – Thornton
1st group : Rt 49 to Rt 3, over Cross Road to Rt 175South, left onto Mad River Rd, back Rt 49 (18 mi – Hillier)
2nd group: Rt 49 to Rt 3, over Cross Road to Rt 175South, left in Campton Village, Up Rt 49, turn around at Mad River Road T Intersection, back Rt 49 (17 mi – less Hilly)
3rd Group: Rt. 49 (west) to Rte 3, over Cross Road to Rt.175South to Rt. 49 at the Campton lights (12 mi)
April 19th: 5:30pm Rhino Bikes, Plymouth – Rumney
1st Group: Fairgrounds Rd. to Quincy/Buffalo Rd, Sand Hill, Rt 25 to traffic circle, out Rt 3A, left on Yeaton Rd to Rt 25 (25 mi)
2nd Group: Fairgrounds Rd. to Quincy/Buffalo Rd, Sand Hill, Back Rt 25 (22 mi)
3rd Group: Fairgrounds Rd to Quincy/Buffalo Rd. Turn around at Rumney Dump (20 mi)
April 26th: 5:30pm Northway Bank, Campton – Waterville
1st Group: Rte 49 to Mt Tecumseh Ski Area (23 mi)
2nd and 3rd Group: Rt 49 to ski area road junction (20 mi) Option: Ride to Ski Area for those preparing for the Kanc ride or make loop through Valley and back
Instructional Ride Starts at 5:30pm – We will ride together into Waterville Valley and do some Paceline practice on the road around the Valley. We will ride back out together.

May 10th: 5:30pm Truants Tavern, Woodstock – Kancamaugus Hill climb
All Groups: Up Rt 112 to the top of the Kanc and back down (28 mi round trip)
Be prepared for cold descent. Bring windbreaker, hat, gloves and snack.
Option: Meet at 4:45 for 5:00 early departure.

Sharpen Your Skills Bike Clinic by Celeste St. Pierre ($5.00 each)
Choose from Two Session Times: 5:15pm and 6:30pm Loon Mountain Ski Area, Lincoln -
Improve your riding techniques with hill climbing, cornering and general cycling tips from Celeste. GRAND TOUR May 20th: …traditionally the Sunday after Mother’s Day. Call Rhino to confirm. The Grand Tour is a long standing co-ed ride starting from Plymouth (120 mi) or from Woodstock (80mi)…over the Kancamangus Highway, Bear Notch, Crawford Notch and back down through Franconia Notch.
May 24: 5:30pm Main Street, New Hampton School – Murray Hill (Or Kanc Ride!)
1st & 2nd Group: Rt 104 to Bristol, left on 3A to Hill Ctr/Murray Hill Rd, right on Rt. 104 to Bristol and back to New Hampton (28 mi)
2nd and 3rd Group: Rt 132 South to Gaza and back (16 mi)
(Remember! If May 10th ride is rained out, Kanc Hill Climb Ride happens tonight)
May 31st: 5:30pm Rhino Bikes, Plymouth – Stinson Lake
1st and 2nd Group: Fairgrounds Rd to Quincy Rd to Stinson Lake (28)
2nd and 3rd Group: Fairgrounds Rd to Quincy/Buffalo Rd. Turn around at Rumney Dump (20 mi) Option: Or ride part or all the way to Stinson Lake – Rider’s Choice!

1st & 2nd Group: Start Rt 3A North, then around Newfound Lake; Left in Hebron Center, Right at Ice Cream Shop to Alexandria, In a few miles, Go Left to Alexandria Center, To Cass Mill Rd, To 104E back to Bristol and 3A North back to the Church (27 Miles)
2nd and 3rd Group: Start Rte 3A North around Newfound Lake, Left in Hebron, Left At Ice Cream Shop (after Wellington Beach) back to Catholic Church (16 mi) – Option: Add a few flat miles out towards Alexandria and back (20mi)
Apres Ride: Get Take Out Fish at the Big Catch – Have Dinner at Fran’s Cottage on 775 West Shore Road.
June 21st : 5:30pm Rhino Bikes, Plymouth – Groton Dump or Hall’s Brook
1st and 2nd Group: Rt. 3A to North Shore Road to Hebron to Groton Dump, to Rt. 118, Rt. 25 (35 mi) or back Hall’s Brook (28 miles)
2nd and 3rd Group Fairgrounds to Quincy to Route 25 up Hall’s Brook and back (25 mi)

1st & 2nd Group: Rt. 113 to 113A to 113 to 25 back 113 (30 miles)
2nd and 3rd Group: Rt. 113 to 113 A and back (20 miles)

July 12th: 5:30pm Wellington State Park, New Found Lake Mooseman Ride

1 and 2 Group: North on West Shore Rd, around the lake through Hebron to Route 3A. Take a right on Route 3A South, go all the way into Bristol, Right/West on Rte 104, Right on Cass Mill Rd to Alexandria, Head North out of Alexandria Center, take right at Y, leads you back to West Shore Road.
2nd and 3rd Group: Take West Shore Road North around Newfound Lake, Right in Hebron Center, Right At Route 3 A, Right at Catholic Church, Right at Ice Cream Shop (16 – 20mi) – Option: Add a few flat miles out towards Alexandria and back
July 19th: 5:30pm Squam Lake Boat Ramp, Holderness
Rte 3 to Ashland to Route 132 back River Road (25 mi)

July 26th: 5:30pm New Hampton Rest Area (west of I 93, by the river), New Hampton – Alexandria
Prompt Start so there is enough daylight!
1st & 2nd Group: Rt 104 to West Shore Rd to Fowler Rd to Alexandria, Cass Mill Rd to Rt 104 to Bristol. Old Bristol Rd to New Hampton to 104 (35 mi)
2nd and 3rd Group: Rt. 104 to Bristol, N Main St/Mayhew Turnpike, Rt 3A into Bristol center. Old Bristol Road to New Hampton to Rt 104 (18 mi)
August 2nd: 5:30pm Meet at Town Beach in Ashland. – Riders’ Choice
Apres Ride: Swim and picnic (Party at Don and Arlene’s?)
August 9th: 5:30pm Hubbard Brook Road Hillclimb, Thornton Meet Hubbard Brook –
Mountain Bike Ride up Hubbard Brook Forest Rd – out and back (17 mi)
Take Route 3 North to Mirror Lake Road. Follow signs to Hubbard Brook Center
Road Ride Option: Route 3 North to Franconia Notch Bike Path and back
Apres Ride: Swim after the ride, Bring a picnic!
August 16th: 5:15pm Meet Truant’s Tavern – North Woodstock, Franconia Notch Prompt Start!
Group’s to be determined by desired distance
Up Franconia Notch Bike Path and Back = 18 miles
Notch to Easton Road to Route 112 = 35 miles (Bring reflective vests?)
August 23rd: 5:30pm Rhino Bikes, Plymouth – Halls Brook Rd or Sand Hill
1st and 2nd Groups: Fairgrounds to Rumney to Halls Brook Down Groton Dump to Hebron to North Shore Road to Rt 3A to Rt 25 (32 mi)
2nd and 3rd Group: Fairgrounds to Quincy Rd, Left on Stinson Lake Rd, Right on Rumney Depot St. to Rt 25 to Sand Hill, back Buffalo Road, Quincy (26 mi)
August 30th: 5:30pm Northway Bank – Campton
All Groups: Route 49 to Route 3N to Ledges Cross over and back Rt. 175 (22 mi)
Sept 6th: 5:15pm Meredith Village Savings Bank, Ashland – Rattesnake and Back
All Groups: Route 3 south, to Route 113 to Rattlesnake Mtn and Back (18 mi?)
Sept 13th: 5:15pm Northway Bank, Campton – Waterville
All Groups: Rt. 49 to WV town square – ride valley loop (23 mi)
Sept 20th: 5:15pm Meredith Village Savings Bank, Ashland – Mountain Bike/Hybrid Ride
Hybrid/Mtn Bike Ride: Rt. 132 south to Huckleberry, to Dana Hill to Upper Oxbow to Sky Pond and then double track/single track to Bald Ledge. (10 mi?)
Road Ride option. Route 3 to Coxboro, up Piper Hill to Waukewan, onto Winona and back to Ashland (18 miles)
Sept 27th: 5:00pm Smith Covered Bridge, Plymouth – Mtn Bike/Hybrid Dirt Road Ride or Road Bike
1st & 2nd Groups: East Rumney Rd to Bog Road back Beech Hill Road (15 mi)
3rd Group: Back Beech Hill Road off East Rumney Road (10mi)
Road Ride Option: Riders choice by those who show up.
